AstraRota plans schedules for teams that work in shifts. You set the rules and wishes. It finds schedules that follow them and share the load fairly.
Most teams still plan shifts by hand. It works until something changes.
One sick day or holiday and the whole plan is redone by hand.
The same people end up with the nights and the weekends.
Rest time, days in a row and wishes are easy to miss.
People, contract days, vacations and personal wishes. Type them in or paste a spreadsheet.
Pick your country, or answer a few questions and let it set up shifts, staffing and rules. Choose what must hold and what is only a preference.
Each one is checked against every rule and scored.
One click, then a read-only link for the team.
Everything you need to plan, check and share a rota, without the spreadsheet.
Rest time, weekends, days in a row. Make each one a must or a preference.
Different, equally valid schedules to choose from.
Balances nights, lates and weekends across the team and over time.
Vacation, sick leave and personal wishes are planned in from the start.
When rules clash, it names them and still gives you the best schedule it can.
Publish a read-only link the team opens on any phone.
Rest times, weekly limits and weekend days for 26 countries and regions. A starting point you confirm locally.
Change, swap or cover a shift right in the calendar. Every change is checked against your rules, holidays and staffing, and what no longer fits is shown with a fix.
Say how many people you need when you are open, for example two at the counter on weekdays and one in the evening. Ask for skills too, like at least one nurse on every shift. A subteam can have its own shifts and times.
Hours per person and day, from the calendar or from the time clock, ready for your payroll system. You choose the codes; salaries stay in the payroll system.
Owners, managers and team leaders with separate access, an organisation overview and a rules-and-fairness report.
Staff sign in with their email on any phone browser. No app to install.
Each person sees their own shifts and can add them to their phone calendar with a private link.
Time off, shift swaps, open shifts and availability go to a manager’s inbox. The answer comes back by email.
Clock in and out from the phone by scanning the QR code on a screen at the entrance or typing a code, with a check against the planned shift and optional location. Managers correct and approve.
English, Swedish, Spanish and Arabic (right to left), plus 16 more languages in beta. Each person picks their own.
Owners see who changed what and when, and who downloaded personal data.
Staff and managers are told by email and in the app when a schedule or a request changes.

No. They are a careful starting point built from each country’s main working-time limits. Collective agreements and sector rules can be stricter, so check them locally.
The whole app, including the planner and the rules editor, comes in 20 languages. English, Swedish, Spanish and Arabic (with right-to-left layout) are our main languages. The other 16 are machine-translated and marked beta while native speakers check them. The legal texts are in English for now.
For Spanish organisations time-clock records are kept for 4 years, as Spanish law requires of the employer, and are never deleted earlier. Elsewhere the manager chooses the period. You can export them at any time.
